Where did you get that lure?

  After throwing lures from the surf, piers and jetties from South Carolina to the Mid-Atlantic for over 30 years, I always preferred metals and found a handful that were my trusted brands and sizes. One of my favorites had become more and more expensive and another was never available with any reliability. Three years ago I had finally had enough of the frustration and started considering what I personally wanted in a “perfect” lure and how could I make something economical and durable that you wouldn’t be traumatized to “use and lose” in a pack of bluefish. There were things I had seen over the years that Old Salts had fashioned; one-off handmade lures that they only made for themselves. After a lot of trials (and more error than I want to think about) Ocean Arsenal Surf Bullets were born and I started catching fish and developing new lures such as the awesome Peanut Pogy. 

    Now modern synthetics and high performance polymers are incorporated into our Squid Things, a deadly fluke and sea bass lure, and the super-versatile and virtually indestructible Diamond Minnow. 

Every lure is a product of my hands guided by my experience. Even if I never sold a single one of them, I am obsessed with catching fish and OA lures are almost all that I use.
